About Dr. Adam Sang

Background
​
Dr. Sang grew up in New York City, and graduated magna cum laude from Harvard College with a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemical Sciences. He then attended Yale School of Medicine, and completed a dedicated year of research as well as medical rotations in Changsha, China and Mwandi, Zambia. He did his General Surgery Residency at Stanford University, where he was the Ernest Gallo Endowed Research Fellow for two years, and also served as the administrative chief resident during his final year. Lastly, he completed his Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery at the University of Minnesota.

Dr. Sang has a broad interest in the field of colon and rectal surgery. His clinical expertise ranges from complex management of colon, rectal and anal cancer, and inflammatory bowel disease, to common conditions such as hemorrhoids, fissures, and pelvic floor disorders. Dr. Sang provides compassionate care aimed at maximizing comfort and independence for all his patients. He is robustly trained in minimally invasive approaches including laparoscopic and robotic surgery, and is experienced in endoscopy and acute/emergency colorectal conditions. During training, Dr. Sang has won numerous research and service awards, authored a variety of peer-reviewed manuscripts, and served on many hospital committees, focused on quality improvement.

Getting to Know Dr. Sang
​
Excellent patient care is the top priority of Dr. Sang’s professional career. He enjoys working with a diverse group of patients, and strives to provide collegial, individualized, and thoughtful care, whether in the office or in the hospital.
Outside of work, Dr. Sang enjoys downhill skiing, exploring metropolitan amenities with his wife, and watching basketball, and hopes to maximize these interests in Denver. His other hobbies include reading mystery novels, indulging in natural scenery, and watching science fiction films.
